About the study
The BPSU facilitated the Rett Syndrome study in 1990. The primary objective was to identify cases in Britain and Ireland, and to locate families where genetic disorders may be present. The study contributed to the consensus that Rett Syndrome is a genetic disorder rather than a disease.
